Derby County Under-23s’ Premier League 2 - Division 1 game at Leicester City this evening has been postponed.

Following a number of positive COVID-19 cases within an Academy bubble, and the health and safety of players and staff members being of utmost importance, the decision has been made to postpone the match following discussions with the relevant football bodies.

Pat Lyons’ Under-23s were due to face the Foxes at the King Power Stadium in their first away fixture of the season, after starting their campaign against Brighton & Hove Albion at Pride Park Stadium a week ago.

A new match date will be confirmed in due course.

The Under-23s are scheduled to take on Leeds United at Loughborough University Stadium on Friday evening and a decision on this game will be made in the coming days.
