Derby County’s Kamil Jozwiak helped Poland to a welcome victory in their latest 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification match against Albania on Thursday.

Poland were 4-1 winners in the UEFA Group I fixture on home turf in Warsaw and the Derby winger played the full 90 minutes.

The 23-year-old picked up his 18th cap for his country in the process as he continues to establish himself as a regular in the national side.

Poland took the lead after 12 minutes through Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski, but Sokol Cikalleshi equalised for the visitors just after the midway point of the half.

Adam Buksa of New England Revolution put Poland back in front just before half-time and their lead was further strengthened before the hour mark by Krasnodar’s Grzegorz Krychowiak.

Karol Linetty of Torino rounded off the scoring in the final minute to secure a comprehensive victory for Paulo Sousa's side.

The result leaves Poland second in the standings with seven points after four matches, five points behind group leaders England.

Poland have two more qualifiers on their fixture list in the next week, away to San Marino (5th September, 7:45pm) and at home to England (8th September, 7:45pm).
