Derby County’s Kamil Jozwiak played 80 minutes as Poland held England to a 1-1 draw in their latest 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier on Wednesday.

The Rams’ winger was named in the starting line-up as Poland looked to close the gap on the Three Lions at the top of Group I.

England took the lead through Harry Kane after 72 minutes and looked on course for a sixth successive victory in their qualification campaign.

However, substitute Damian Szymanski equalised for Poland in added time with a close-range header.

The result leaves Poland third in the group standings, five points behind England at the top of the table with four matches remaining.

Derby manager Wayne Rooney has confirmed that Jozwiak, who now has 19 caps for Poland’s senior team, will miss the trip to Birmingham City on Friday night (8pm kick-off) due to the fact there remains only 48 hours between the matches.
