Derby County’s Ravel Morrison was unable to help Jamaica achieve a positive result on Sunday night in their second CONCACAF 2022 FIFA World Cup Final Round Qualifier.

Morrison picked up his fourth international cap for the Reggae Boyz as they were beaten 3-0 by Panama at Independence Park in Kingston.

The 28-year-old midfielder was named in the starting line-up but was replaced at half-time with the home side two goals behind.

Morrison was unavailable for Jamacia’s qualifier against Mexico on 2nd September, which ended in a 2-1 defeat, and he will also miss their clash against Costa Rica on 8th September after EFL clubs last month took the collective decision not to release players for international matches that are to be played in countries on the UK Government’s ‘red list’.

Jamacia are bottom of their group after two matches and, following the Costa Rica match this week, they have fixtures against the United States of America, Canada and Honduras in the October international window.

Elsewhere, Derby winger Kamil Jozwiak was an unused substitute as Poland trounced San Marino 7-1 in their latest World Cup qualifier.

Jozwiak watched on from the bench as Paulo Sousa’s side ran riot in Serravalle and they remain five points behind Group I leaders England.

The 23-year-old was rested for the game after playing the full 90 minutes in their 4-1 home victory over Albania on Thursday.

Poland welcome England to Warsaw on Wednesday evening (7:45pm kick-off) as they look to close the gap on the Three Lions at the top of the table.
