Derby County midfielder Louie Sibley has been called up to the England Under-20 squad.

Andy Edwards’ side will face Romania at St George’s Park on Monday 6th September (2pm kick-off).

Sibley was initially placed on stand-by for the squad last week, but he has now been promoted to link up with the group later this week.

He has previously appeared for England’s Under-17s, Under-18s and Under-19s and while he has earned a call-up for the Under-20s before, he is yet to make an appearance at that level.

The 19-year-old, who turns 20 next month, has made a strong start to the season for Wayne Rooney’s side.

The attacking midfielder has made seven appearances and scored one goal so far this term.

The Academy graduate will join up with fellow Rams team-mate Lee Buchanan with the Under-20 squad.
