Derby County would like to provide a brief update to supporters following the UK Government’s announcement in relation to the implementation of their 'Plan B Health & Safety Protocol' to slow the spread of the Omicron variant of COVID-19.

The UK Government stated on Wednesday evening that spectators at events with more than 10,000 attendees will be required to provide proof of COVID-19 status from Wednesday 15th December.

This can be done by displaying a digital or paper NHS COVID Pass or proof of a negative lateral flow test result.

The first fixture at Pride Park Stadium with the new rules enforced will be against West Bromwich Albion on Monday 27th December (3pm kick-off).

Supporters are reminded that the new rules do NOT come into operation for Saturday’s home fixture against Blackpool (3pm kick-off) but are asked to continue following public health guidance and wear a face covering on public transport and in crowded areas.

Derby County club officials are currently liaising with the relevant authorities and stakeholders in relation to the above and will provide a detailed update, with all the required key information and guidance for matchdays, in due course.

In the meantime, supporters are thanked for their patience and understanding.
