Derby County striker Luke Plange has this evening sealed a permanent transfer to Premier League side Crystal Palace.

The 19-year-old has joined the Eagles after an undisclosed fee was agreed for his services on Monday afternoon.

He will remain with the Rams for the remainder of the 2021/22 season after Derby were given permission by the EFL for the striker to return on loan.

Plange joined the Rams in the summer of 2021 after leaving Arsenal and impressed for Pat Lyons’ Under-23s in the early months of the season.

He scored six goals in ten Premier League 2 - Division 1 outings for the Under-23s, as well as weighing in with three assists, and that form saw him called up to Wayne Rooney’s first team squad towards the end of 2021.

Plange marked his first-ever career start with a goal in Derby’s 1-0 home win over Blackpool in early December, while he also found the net in the 2-1 victory at Stoke City later in the month.

He also scored in Sunday’s thrilling 2-2 draw against Birmingham City and has netted three times in nine first-team appearances.
