Derby County midfielder Ravel Morrison has been called up to the Jamaica national team squad for their upcoming international fixtures.


The Rams’ midfielder has found his form in recent weeks for Derby after netting three goals in four games.

He scored twice against Barnsley in a convincing 2-0 victory at the start of March, whilst he opened the scoring in the 3-1 loss against Blackburn Rovers..

Morrison has been selected for Paul Hall’s Jamaican squad as they conclude their 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification campaign with three fixtures.

The Reggae Boyz are playing for pride as they sit seventh in the group and are mathematically unable to qualify for the tournament in Qatar later this year.


They host El Salvador at Independence Park on Thursday 24th March (11.05pm kick-off), whilst three days later, they travel to BMO Field to take on Canada, who sit top of the group, on Sunday 27th March (9.05pm kick-off).

Jamaica conclude their campaign back on home soil as they face Honduras on Thursday 31st March (2.05am kick-off).

Morrison has nine caps to his name but is yet to find the target for his country, whilst he has netted four goals in all competitions for Derby this season.
