Derby County Under-18s midfielder Darren Robinson has been named in the Northern Ireland Under-19s squad for their upcoming international fixtures.

The Rams’ Academy scholar has been in good form for both the Under-18s and Under-23s this season and was named on the substitutes' bench as Derby's first-team defeated Sheffield United 2-0 at Pride Park Stadium in January.

Robinson has been named in Gerard Lyttle’s squad to take part in an international tournament in Spain later this month.

Northern Ireland are set to face Norway, Belgium and Czech Republic in the Football Federations Cup. They face Norway on Wednesday 23rd March (4pm kick-off), whilst two days later, they will take on the Belgians on Friday 25th March (12pm kick-off).

They conclude their round of fixtures on Monday 28th March as they take on the Czech Republic (12pm kick-off).

Robinson joined Derby at the start of this season from Dungannon Swifts and it’s the first time the midfielder, who can also play in defence, has been called up to the Northern Ireland Under-19s squad.
