Derby County’s Under-23s will be looking to pick up their first league win of 2022 in Premier League 2 - Division 1 when they host Leicester City on Sunday afternoon.

The Under-23s will face the Foxes at Moor Farm Training Ground (1pm kick-off) and dcfc.co.uk has brought together all the key information you will need to know ahead of the game.

Team News...

Defender Harrison Solomon (hamstring) and midfielder Connor Dixon (ankle) have

been out of action in recent weeks while defender Max Bardell (hamstring) is also sidelined for the rest of the season.

Owing to first-team commitments either side of the weekend, Under-23s boss Pat Lyons could be without some players from the senior squad looking to build match minutes and is therefore expected to have a young group to call upon.

One addition to the group could be striker Jack Stretton after a recent spell out injured, but he has returned to training in recent days.

The Season So Far...

Derby's Under-23s have played 19 games so far this term in Premier League 2 - Division 1 and have registered four wins, two draws and 13 defeats.

They are five points adrift of safety after a strong run of form towards the end of 2021 to bring them into contention of getting out of the bottom two, while they have a game in hand which could see them narrow the gap on those above them.

Leicester are seventh in the table with seven wins, six draws and six losses so far this term and the sides are meeting for the first time this term after their early-season meeting at the King Power Stadium was postponed due to a COVID-19 outbreak in the Rams' Under-23 and Under-18 squads.
