Manager Wayne Rooney has made three changes to the side which beat Preston North End last week for this afternoon’s Sky Bet Championship fixture against Swansea City (3pm kick-off).

The Rams are in must-win territory as they travel to South Wales in a bid to keep their hopes of avoiding relegation from the Sky Bet Championship alive.

And Rooney has made a trio of changes for the game. One is enforced as Max Bird serves the first of his three-match suspension following his dismissal against the Lilywhites.

Goalscorer from that game, Ravel Morrison, returns to the starting line-up, as does midfielder Krystian Bielik who came on as a second half substitute. Jason Knight moves to the substitute’s bench.

Elsewhere, Liam Thompson comes back into the starting XI in place of Festy Ebosele who is named as a substitute.

There is also a place on the bench for Under-18s winger Carlos Richards who has impressed the manager in training this week.

Swansea City: Fisher, Cabango, Fulton, Grimes (C), Obafemi, Paterson, Wolf, Piroe, Latibeaudiere, Christie, Naughton.

Substitutes: Hamer, Manning, Smith, Ntcham, Joseph, Ogbeta, Congreve.

Derby County: Allsop, Byrne, Bielik, Lawrence, Morrison, Buchanan, Ebiowei, Davies, Cashin, Thompson, Plange.

Substitutes: Roos, Forsyth, Stearman, Ebosele, Knight, Richards, Cybulski.
