Derby County’s fixture list for the 2022/23 Sky Bet League 1 season has today been confirmed.


The fixtures were released by the EFL at 9am this morning and as Wayne Rooney’s side prepare for life in a new division, there’s a different look and feel to the sides the Rams will come up against during the campaign.

Derby are competing in the third tier for the first time since 1986, when Arthur Cox guided the club through back-to-back promotions to the top flight.

What Is Our Start Like?

Derby will start the new season on home turf at Pride Park Stadium against Oxford United on Saturday 30th July.

Their first away fixture of the campaign will see them hit the road and travel south to Charlton Athletic on Saturday 6th August.

August’s remaining fixtures will see Derby host Barnsley on Saturday 13th August before taking in back-to-back away fixtures at Shrewsbury Town on Tuesday 16th August and Fleetwood Town on Saturday 20th August.

The month will then conclude with a home fixture against Peterborough Unitedon Saturday 27th August.

Who Do We Play Over Christmas?

Derby’s festive games programme will start with a home clash against Forest Green Rovers on Saturday 17th December in their final run-out before Christmas.

Boxing Day, Monday 26th December, will see Derby travel to Bolton Wanderers before facing up to Cambridge United and Accrington Stanley at Pride Park Stadium on Thursday 29th December and Sunday 1st January respectively.

Who Do We Play At The End Of The Season?

Two of Derby’s final three matches of the League One season are on home territory, against Burton Albion on Saturday 22nd April and Portsmouth on Saturday 29th April.

The campaign will conclude on the road up the M1 at Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday 6th May.

When Are The International Breaks?

There are no international breaks factored in the League One calendar, including when the 2022 FIFA World Cup is played in Qatar in November and December.

What About TV Selections In League 1?

The EFL and their official domestic broadcast partner, Sky Sports, will confirm their live selections in due course.

Any fixtures involving Derby County will be communicated to supporters at the earliest opportunity across dcfc.co.uk and the club’s digital channels.
