Derby County will travel to the One Call Stadium to take on Mansfield Town in Round One of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday 9th August 2022 (7:45pm kick-off).
The draw took place last Thursday on Sky Sports and pitted the Rams against local opposition who are managed by former boss Nigel Clough.
The Stags, who play in Sky Bet League Two, reached the Play-Off Final in the 2021/22 campaign but were beaten 3-0 at Wembley by Port Vale.
It’s the first time the pair have met in a competitive fixture since 2002, ironically in the same competition, with Derby running out 3-1 winners at Field Mill on the night.
Goals from Lee Morris, Malcolm Christie and Ian Evatt secured Derby’s passage through to Round Two 20 years ago.
