Interim Manager Liam Rosenior has opted to utilise his squad for Derby County’s Papa Johns Trophy - Northern Section Group F opener against Grimsby Town this evening (7pm kick-off).


The Derby boss has made six changes from the dramatic 2-1 home win over Peterborough United on Saturday for the clash with the Mariners at Pride Park Stadium.

Experienced goalkeeper Scott Loach comes into the side to make his competitive Rams bow, while Craig Forsyth, Nathaniel Mendez-Laing, Liam Thompson, Kwaku Oduroh and Jake Rooney also step into the starting line-up.

The five players that started the League One clash against Peterborough are Max Bird, James Collins, Haydon Roberts, Louie Sibley and Lewis Dobbin.

Youngsters Darren Robinson and Bartosz Cybulski feature on the bench, while versatile midfielder Korey Smith misses out owing to a minor foot injury.
