In the lead-up to the game getting underway, dcfc.co.uk has brought together all the key information you need to know…

Team News

Skipper Curtis Davies (knee) and centre-back partner James Chester (calf) remain out for Friday's game, however, both are recovering well from their respective injuries.

Winger Tom Barkhuizen (hamstring) has returned to training and is set to come into contention for the trip to Fratton Park.

Midfielder Jason Knight (ankle) is edging closer though Friday's game may come too soon.

Goalkeeper Joseph Anang (arm) remains out but he is stepping up his workload after around three months out of action.

On loan Brighton & Hove Albion defender Haydon Roberts came off in the first half of the 5-0 home victory over Torquay United in the Emirates FA Cup First Round Replay on Tuesday as a precaution as is being assessed.

Warne's Words

Head Coach Paul Warne sat down with RamsTV to give his thoughts on a huge game on the south coast.

He said: "It will be a good test, they’ll want to do well against us with it being two big teams, and two big clubs with a lot of history. It just comes down to 22 lads on the pitch at any one time.

"Hopefully we’ll have enough to cause them some problems; they will cause us some. We’ll know more about us as a group and more about where we need to strengthen come 11pm on Friday."

From The Dressing Room

Midfielder Conor Hourihane spoke to RamsTV ahead of the trip to Portsmouth.

He said: "With the game being on Friday night on Sky Sports and under the lights, it is going to add that little bit more spice. There's no Championship or Premier League at the minute so there will be a few more eyes on it.

"It's going to be a really good one, one that will be enjoyable to play in and hopefully we come out on top."
