U21s Preview: Nottingham Forest (H)

Derby County’s Under-21s will take on Nottingham Forest in the knock-out stages of the Premier League Cup on Monday evening.

The Under-21s will host the Reds in the Round of 16 tie at Loughborough University Stadium (7pm kick-off) and dcfc.co.uk has brought together all the key information you will need to know ahead of the game.

Defender Max Bardell will miss out after sustaining a hamstring injury last month while fellow defender Harrison Solomon (knee) has been out of action lately.

Strikers Bartosz Cybulski and George Nunn are out on loan at Solihull Moors and Mickleover FC so recent loan signings from Arsenal Kido Taylor-Hart and Billy Vigar could feature and make their Derby bows, while the versatile Courtney Clarke, who has played in midfield and defence this season, has moved on to pastures new after ending his contract early ahead of its expiry in the summer.

Premier League Cup So Far...

Derby's Under-21s were the winners of Group B to reach the knock-out stages and claimed three wins, two draws and a single defeat from their six outings.

They started the group stages with a 2-1 loss at AFC Bournemouth but bounced back to claim successive 1-1 draws on home turf against Queens Park Rangers and Brighton & Hove Albion.

A 2-0 win at Queens Park Rangers, a 3-0 home success against AFC Bournemouth and a 2-1 victory at Brighton & Hove Albion saw Pat Lyons' side steam to the top of the standings and win the group.

Derby County’s Under-21s will continue to play most of their home fixtures for the 2022/23 season at Loughborough University.

Supporters will once again be able to attend the matches and tickets can be purchased in advance of each fixture from the Loughborough Sport website.

Advanced purchases are advised, and all tickets will be for the terracing areas of Loughborough University Stadium.

Tickets are priced as follows:

Season Ticket Holders: FREE (on production of their Season Ticket Card)

Advance Purchases: Adult £3.50, Concessions £1.50 (these include online booking fees)

Matchday Purchases: Adult £5, Concessions £2.50 (Please note payment by cash is NOT accepted at Loughborough University Stadium)

* The doors will open for each match from 30 minutes before kick-off.
