Derby County Head Coach Paul Warne says picking up six points over the Easter period could really help 'swing momentum and belief' ahead of the final few games of the 2022/23 Sky Bet League One campaign.

The Rams bagged their first win in four outings with a 2-0 victory away at Forest Green Rovers on Good Friday and are now looking to back that up with another important three points against MK Dons on home turf on Easter Monday (3pm kick-off) as they look to return to the play-off places.

Warne's side dispatched the Dons 3-1 at Stadium MK earlier this season but they are in a fine run of form to edge away from the relegation zone and Derby’s Head Coach believes they are a better opposition than their current league position shows.

Speaking to RamsTV after the win over Forest Green, Warne looked ahead to another huge test on Monday.

"We said to the players before Forest Green that three points there is no different to three points against Sheffield Wednesday or Wycombe Wanderers - you've just got to pick up wins.

"We said that if we didn't get a minimum of four points across the two Easter games it will be difficult, so winning at Forest Green sets us up for a good home game.

"MK Dons aren't the team that their league place shows, they always are a strong team when I have had sides play against them.

"We don't know how the next few games will go but wins help and swing momentum and belief."
