Derby County will take on local non-league side Matlock Town as part of their preparations for the 2023/24 season.
Derby will travel to Causeway Lane to face the Gladiators on Saturday 8th July 2023 (3pm kick-off).
Matlock finished fifth in the Northern Premier League in the 2022/23 season and qualified for the play-offs, although they were beaten by Warrington Town in the Semi-Finals.
There is already a close connection between the Rams and the Gladiators, with Clowes Developments (UK) Ltd sponsoring Matlock’s away kit during the 2022/23 campaign and also building the new luxury apartment development next to Causeway Lane.
