Derby County have been drawn at home to fellow Sky Bet League One side Blackpool in Round One of the 2023/24 Carabao Cup.
The draw took place live on Sky Sports News on Thursday afternoon to coincide with the reveal of the 2023/24 EFL fixtures earlier in the day.
Derby have been handed a tie on home turf against the Tangerines to start their involvement in this year’s knock-out competition.
Carabao Cup Round One ties are scheduled to be played in the midweek of the week commencing Monday 7th August 2023.
A confirmed match date and ticket information will be communicated to supporters in due course.
Last season’s Round One draw saw Derby head across the Midlands to face League Two side Mansfield Town and they ran out 2-1 winners, with substitute Tom Barkhuizen scoring a second half winner.
They went on to reach Round Three where they bowed out of the competition against Premier League Liverpool at Anfield on penalties after a 0-0 draw in 90 minutes.
