Under-21s Goalkeeper Evans Heads Out On Loan

Derby County Under-21s goalkeeper Harry Evans has joined non-league side Coalville Town on loan.

The 18-year-old shot-stopper has linked up with the Southern League Premier Division Central club on an initial month’s loan.

Coalville’s 2023/24 season will begin with a trip to Stourbridge on Saturday afternoon and Evans could make his debut for the Ravens in the game.

Evans, who joined Derby’s youth set-up at the age of six, signed his first professional contract early in the 2022/23 season.

He ramped up his development last term by making 18 appearances in Premier League 2 and also featured in the Premier League Cup and Derbyshire Senior Cup.

He also had a spell out on loan in local non-league football with United Counties League Premier Division North side Melton Town in the 2022/23 campaign to gain match experience.
