Young Derby County defender Dan Cox has been called up to represent Wales Under-19s squad for their upcoming September fixtures.

Cox, who has represented his national side at Under-17s, Under-16s and Under-15s level, has been called up to the Under-19s group for the first time.

He will be in line to feature in their friendly double-header against Finland and will have a chance to impress ahead of the UEFA European Under-19 Championship qualifiers which get underway in October.

The first meeting between the two sides takes place on Friday 8th September at Jari Litmanen Arena before the second clash three days later at the same venue.

Cox, who is 17, is a second year scholar in the Academy and has played three times for Jake Buxton's Under-21s in Premier League 2 so far this season.
