Derby County defender Curtis Nelson was handed Player of the Season awards by two supporters’ groups prior to Saturday’s 3-0 home win over Leyton Orient in Sky Bet League One.
Members of both the Punjabi Rams and RamsTrust selected the assured central defender as their star man for the 2023/24 campaign.
Nelson was presented with the accolades by representatives from the Punjabi Rams and Rams Trust prior to the Orient fixture at Pride Park Stadium.
The 30-year-old, who joined Derby last summer as a free agent after leaving Blackpool, has been in excellent form throughout the campaign and has made 49 appearances in all competitions, scoring twice.
