Derby County will face Leyton Orient at Pride Park Stadium on Saturday in their penultimate home game of the regular 2023/24 Sky Bet League One season (3pm kick-off).

The Rams are looking to respond with a victory after being held to a 0-0 draw at Wycombe Wanderers on Wednesday night.

In the lead-up to the game getting underway, dcfc.co.uk has brought together all the key information you need to know...

Team News

Centre-back Sonny Bradley is back and available for selection after serving his three match ban for the red card he picked up in the loss at Northampton Town last month.

Joe Ward missed Wednesday evening's 0-0 draw with Wycombe Wanderers with the knee issue he picked up against Portsmouth and will remain out for Saturday's game.

Defender Callum Elder remains out this weekend with a groin issue but could return to training next week.

Defender Craig Forsyth is out of action with a calf injury, but is making good progress on the road to recovery.

Striker Dwight Gayle hobbled off in the victory against Bolton Wanderers last month with a hamstring issue and remains out for Saturday.

Midfielder Max Bird returned to the grass this week and is set to return to full training this week after being out for a month with a calf problem.

Defender Ryan Nyambe has had an operation on his damaged quad, sustained in February, which will keep him out of action for the remainder of the campaign.

Striker Tyreece John-Jules suffered a hamstring tear in the defeat against Reading in January that will keep him out of action for the rest of the season.

Long-term absentee Jake Rooney remains out after suffering a ACL knee injury in September and remains a way off a return to full training, although he is making excellent progress.

Pre-Match Thoughts

Head Coach Paul Warne spoke to RamsTV to preview the penultimate home game of the regular campaign.

He said: "Leyton Orient don't really have anything to play for, so to speak, but they are professional footballers that want to win a football game and they come here with no pressure, apart from the pressure they put on themselves. I know they will cause a lot of threats because they move the ball really well and they rotate a lot in midfield. Some of their players have had really good seasons."

Midfielder Korey Smith spoke to RamsTV ahead of Saturday's clash with the O's.

He said: "I think sometimes fans don't realise how much they can help. It really does give you an extra boost of energy and we're calling on them to carry on getting behind us and hopefully we get the job done."
