Derby To Make Chesterfield Pre-Season Visit

Derby County will make the short journey to Sky Bet League Two newcomers Chesterfield for a pre-season friendly in July ahead of the 2024/25 Sky Bet Championship season.

Paul Warne’s side will take on the 2023/24 National League champions at their SMH Group Stadium home on Wednesday 24th July 2024 (7:30pm kick-off).

Managed by Paul Cook, the Spireites romped to the fifth-tier title last season by racking up 98 points to seal their return to the EFL.

Derby visited Chesterfield in a pre-season fixture last summer, as part of their preparations for their own promotion-winning 2023/24 season, and were 1-0 winners thanks to James Collins’ header.
