Derby County have completed the signing of United States international striker Patrick Agyemang.
The 24-year-old joins from Major League Soccer side Charlotte FC for an undisclosed fee on a four-year contract until 2029.
He becomes the club’s fifth signing of the summer as Head Coach John Eustace continues to prepare his squad for the 2025/26 Sky Bet Championship season.
After scoring 10 goals during the 2024 season to fire Charlotte to the MLS Play-Offs, the 6’4” forward scored eight goals and recorded two assists in 18 appearances during the first half of Charlotte’s 2025 campaign, before linking up with Mauricio Pochettino’s USMNT squad for the CONCACAF Gold Cup.

He scored twice during the tournament as the US reached the final to take his international record to five goals in 12 appearances.
Agyemang has been playing for most of the 2025 Major League Soccer season with a hernia injury that has been managed without surgery but meant he has been playing in discomfort. With a long-term view in mind, all parties have agreed he will undergo routine surgery and is therefore likely to miss the opening games of the 2025/26 season.
The transfer is subject to international clearance.
Welcome to Derby County, Patrick!
