Ben Brereton Diaz says he ‘can’t wait to get going’ after joining Derby County.

The 26-year-old Chilean international forward became the Rams13th signing of the summer on Sunday afternoon when he joined on a season-long loan deal with the Rams from Southampton.
The attacker, who can be utilised in a variety of forward roles, brings a wealth of Sky Bet Championship experience with 230 appearances, 57 goals and 23 assists to his name in the second tier.
He also has Premier League pedigree from his time with both Sheffield United and Southampton, with 24 appearances combined for the two sides in the top-flight.
Brereton Diaz spoke to RamsTV after completing his move at Moor Farm Training Centre on Sunday.
I'm really pleased to get this sorted. It is something that has been going on for the last week or so. I'm delighted to be here, and I can't wait to get started with the lads.

I've had a year at Southampton now and not played as much as I want to. I spoke to the gaffer here, and from there it was a no-brainer for me to come and play more games and help the team. At the end of the day, it’s a great club - so it's a no-brainer.

I’ve got a lot of good friends there who speak really highly of him. He was brilliant on the phone with me and from that moment on, the only thing that I really wanted to do was join Derby County.
I want to play as many games as I can. I want to score goals, I want to help the team, create chances and be a good team-mate. I'm just really excited to be involved in this season. I know Derby have had a lot of signings - I'm excited to meet the lads and get down to work.
