Lewis Travis has joined Derby County as the club’s 11th signing of the summer!

He reunites with Head Coach John Eustace after signing a four-year contract at Pride Park Stadium.
This is the story of his career so far…
Born on Merseyside, Travis began his journey with the Liverpool Academy before signing for Blackburn Rovers and soon after, he signed his first professional contract with the Ewood Park club.
After playing regular Premier League 2 football, he made his senior debut during the 2017/18 season, going on to make five league appearances as Blackburn won promotion back to the Sky Bet Championship at the first attempt.

Travis broke through to become a regular starter during the second half of the following campaign as he played 26 league games, while he also scored his first career goal against Norwich City on the penultimate weekend of the season.
He played all-but-three games during the 2019/20 Championship season as Blackburn reestablished themselves as a second tier club and after an injury hit 2020/21 campaign, he played 45 times during 2021/22, which included his first appearance as captain.
The midfielder was appointed as permanent skipper ahead of the next campaign and he continued as a key player, before he joined promotion-chasing Ipswich Town on loan midway through the 2023/24 season.

Automatic promotion was achieved as the Tractor Boys returned to the Premier League after a 22-year absence, before Travis headed back to his parent club as captain once again under Eustace.
He started 37 times as Blackburn challenged for the promotion spots, before making the move to Derby this summer to reunite with his former Head Coach.
In total, Travis is approaching 300 career appearances with the majority of them coming in the Championship, outlining the experience and quality he will bring to Pride Park.
