Derby County will welcome Charlton Athletic to Pride Park Stadium in Sky Bet Championship action on Tuesday night (8pm kick-off).

The Rams will head into the match - the first of back-to-back home fixtures in the league - after fighting back to get a point on the board in a 1-1 draw away to Wrexham on Saturday.
Chile international forward Ben Brereton DÃaz got his first goal for Derby to equalise against the Red Dragons at the weekend, while striker Patrick Agyemang registered his second assist in as many games for the club on his first start in Rams colours.

Charlton will be the opponents on Tuesday night, before Southampton await on Saturday in the side's final fixture before the October international break.

Tickets for the Rams' latest home game are still available and can be purchased online, over the phone or in person from the Ticket Office.
Supporters are urged to buy tickets in advance to avoid the matchday price increase.

Of the last ten seasons, this season is only Charlton’s second in the EFL’s top division.
After dropping out of the Championship at the
end of the 2015/16 campaign, eight of the nine completed seasons
since have been in League One. Lee Bowyer oversaw a successful promotion
challenge in 2019, but life back in the second tier lasted only one
term.
That recent history has made the south-east London
club even more determined to make sure they are equipped to stay
up this time, though – as all Rams fans know very well – the
step up into the Championship is a steep one. Derby survived a
first season back on the final day last May, and if
Charlton achieve the same fate this season, there will be smiling
faces at the Valley.

Manager Nathan Jones, who has been in charge since
February 2024, knows what it takes to create a team capable of firing
up through the leagues, having been the initial architect
of Luton Town’s miraculous rise from non-league to the Premier League
across two stints as manager.
Now the Welshman is hoping to repeat that success with
Charlton. Having joined the Addicks in February 2024, he guided them to a 16th-place
finish in Sky Bet League One in the 2023/24 season.
Last term, he built on foundations set in the previous campaign
and led Charlton to fourth place, and then promotion via the play-offs with a
Wembley win over Leyton Orient.

Ahead of their first second-tier campaign in five years,
Charlton made ten summer signings, with a wealth of Championship experience, with
goalkeeper Thomas Kaminski and defenders Amari’i Bell and Reece Burke coming in
from Luton.
Meanwhile, Harvey Knibbs from Reading, Charlie Kelman from
QPR, Rob Apter from Blackpool and Isaac ‘Tanto’ Olaofe from Stockport County
have been recruited to increase the Addicks’ goal threat.
Charlton come into Tuesday night’s match against the Rams off the back of a 3-0 win over Blackburn Rovers at The Valley.
The result was their third win of the season so far, and Jones’ men sit seventh in the Championship after seven matches played, with two draws and two defeats also on their record sheet.
Head Coach John Eustace sat down with RamsTV on Monday afternoon to briefly reflect on the draw at Wrexham and look ahead to facing Charlton under the Pride Park floodlights.
Dion Sanderson sat down with RamsTV ahead of Tuesday’s match to discuss his start to life with the club and preview the meeting with the Addicks.

Gavin Ward will take charge of the fixture at the Pride Park Stadium - his fourth Championship contest of the 2025/26 campaign. Last season, he oversaw 25 Championship matches, handing out 91 yellow cards and four red cards.
Ward has held the whistle in a Rams game on four previous occasions, last officiating Derby in April 2025, as Derby won 3-1 away to West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns.
David Harrison and Robert Hyde will be the assistant referees, while Farai Hallam will take on the fourth official role.

Live audio commentary for all of Derby County’s first team matches in the 2025/26 season - both league and cup fixtures - is available to RamsTV Audio subscribers based both in the UK and internationally.
