Norwich City experienced a summer of change ahead of the 2025/26 season.
After registering a 13th placed finish under the tutelage of Johannes Hoff Thorup last time out, Norwich-born Liam Manning was recruited as the new Head Coach from Bristol City in June.
Manning guided the Robins to the play-off semi-finals last season, which saw his stock high enough to catch the eye of ambitious Canaries, who have spent three seasons in the Premier League over the last decade.
A busy summer transfer window saw winger Jonathan Rowe sold to Marseille after a year on loan with the French club, the departure of forward Borja Sainz to Porto for an eight-figure fee and the sizeable sale of central midfielder Marcelino Núñez to arch-rivals Ipswich Town.

This gave Norwich significant resources to bring in more than a dozen new faces to their squad ahead of the new campaign.
The Canaries will arrive at Pride Park on Tuesday evening sitting 20th in the table - one place above the Rams courtesy of conceding one fewer goal.
Norwich come into the game after falling to a 1-0 defeat against Manning’s former club Bristol City on home turf and, like the Rams, will be looking to build momentum to kick on in the season.

Current Derby County Under-18s Lead Coach Bradley Johnson played for both the Canaries and the Rams in his career.
The former midfielder joined Norwich in summer 2011 and made 154 outings for the Norfolk side, playing more than 100 matches in the Premier League.
When relegated in 2014, Johnson stuck around and helped the Canaries to bounce straight back up to the top-flight via the play-offs in 2015, before departing for the Rams early in the 2015/16 season for a then club-record fee.

He spent four seasons in black and white, aiding Derby to reach the play-offs on three occasions. In total he made 140 appearances for the Rams before departing in 2019.
Johnson returned to Moor Farm Training Centre with a role in the Academy in June 2024 and he became the Under-18s Lead Coach ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Head Coach John Eustace spoke to RamsTV after training on Monday and laid down the gauntlet for his squad to respond positively when they come up against the Canaries on Tuesday night.
Midfielder Adams also caught up with RamsTV and provided and honest reflection on the loss to Oxford at the weekend and a positive outlook moving forward.
