Derby County's B Team came from behind to beat Grimsby Town Reserves 3-2 on the road in the Central League Cup on Tuesday afternoon.

The Rams secured their second win in as many matches in the Central League Cup competition, having beaten Chesterfield Reserves at Moor Farm Training Centre in a decisive 4-0 victory at the start of September.
The win against the Mariners sees Derby at the top of Group B, though the Rams still await a match-up with Mansfield Town Reserves, after their scheduled fixture set to take place earlier in October was postponed, with a date still to be confirmed.
The hosts took the lead after 16 minutes in Cleethorpes as Danny Rose won the ball high up the field and slotted home from close range.
However, Derby striker Lennon Wheeldon levelled things in the 36th minute when he dispatched a low cross from the right flank.
The ruthless Wheeldon pounced again three minutes later to give Derby the lead when he headed in a deep cross at the far post.
A competitive second half saw chances for both teams, notably Derby goalkeeper Jack Thompson denying Neo Eccleston’s header from a corner, and Mariners shot-stopper Charlie Casper thwarting an effort from Justin Oguntolu with 20 minutes left on the clock.
Oguntolu did strike 12 minutes later, though, as he extended Derby’s lead as he finished off a sharp counter-attack with a strike from the edge of the penalty area.
Grimsby claimed a consolation in stoppage time through Jude Soonsup-Bell, which saw the final whistle blow with the scoreline at 3-2.
The B Team will return to action in the Central League when they come up against Bolton Wanderers Reserves at Moor Farm on Monday 27th October (1pm kick-off).
