Derby County Academy duo Harley Price and Lennon Wheeldon have extended their loan spells in non-league football in order to continue their development.
Goalkeeper Price and striker Wheeldon have extended their stays at Worcester City and South Shields respectively until the early stages of January 2026.

Price, 19, linked up with Southern League Central Worcester at the start of September and he will now continue to gain further senior experience at Sixways Stadium.
The shot-stopper has made 14 appearances for Worcester and impressed with some solid performances between the posts.
He has been with the Rams since Under-12 level and, after becoming a regular for the Under-18s, Price made his first appearances for the Under-21s during the latter stages of last season.

Wheeldon, also 19, joined National League North outfit North Shields on a month’s loan earlier this month.
The frontman scored two goals for his new club in their 6-2 home win over Dunston UTS in the FA Trophy recently and has featured on several occasions in league action, making one start and five appearances off the bench.
The Academy graduate joined Derby from Notts County as an Under-16s player and has since progressed through the ranks, being a regular at Under-21 level in recent years. He made his senior debut in November 2023 when he was brought on as a substitute in an EFL Trophy Group Stage victory over Wolves Under-21s.
Price and Wheeldon’s loan spells, in addition to Harry Evans at Coleraine, Jack Thompson with Braintree Town, Daniel Cox at Walsall, Darren Robinson with St Patrick’s Athletic and Harry Hawkins at Alfreton Town, provides great opportunities for Academy players to gain senior first-team experience.
