Derby County B Team bowed out of the Derbyshire Senior Cup with a 2-1 reverse against Mickleover at the Don Amott Arena on Tuesday night.

Derby’s 4-0 triumph over Buxton at the start of December set up the cup tie at Mickleover, with Cruz Allen, Jerome Richards and Owen Eames on the scoresheet on that occasion.
The success in the competition looked to continue when Young Rams defender Luke Banks gave Derby the advantage after just five minutes at the Don Amott.
But Josiah Dyer drew Mickleover level 20 minutes later when he headed in a free-kick, and the contest went into the break with the scores even.
Striker Manni Norkett gave the hosts the lead in the 69th minute as he finished into the bottom corner, and Mickleover held on to go through to the next round of the competition.
The B Team will next be in action in the Central League when they face Notts County on Tuesday 27th January at Moor Farm Training Centre (1pm kick-off).
Derby County B: Thompson (GK), I Gordon, Gough, Banks, Osayande (C), Tola, Wilson, Wähling, Oguntolu, Allen, Davidson.
Substitutes: Kane (GK), Myers, Doyle, Friars, Blake.
