Derby County gave a group of female fans the full matchday experience for the Rams’ fixture against Sheffield Wednesday a week ago.
Last weekend marked the club’s dedicated fixture for International Women’s Day, and Derby hosted a group of supporters at Pride Park Stadium for their first matchday experience in collaboration with Her Game Too and the Derby County Community Trust.
The group were invited to attend the Rams’ Sky Bet Championship clash against the Owls as part of the ‘Her First Game’ initiative.
For some, it was their first experience at a live football match; for others, it was the first time seeing the Rams play in person.
The group had the chance to explore all that makes a Derby County matchday unique, from special pre-match pitchside photo opportunities to visiting our Internal Activity Zone and sampling the variety of food and drink available throughout the concourses, fully immersing themselves in the vibrant Pride Park atmosphere.
As a club, initiatives like this are central to how we engage with supporters, create memorable matchday experiences, and ensure everyone feels welcomed as part of the community.
