2026/27 FIXTURES: Next Season’s EFL Fixture Release Date Confirmed

The EFL has confirmed the fixture release date for the 2026/27 campaign.

The Sky Bet Championship, League One and League Two 2026/27 fixture schedule will be confirmed on Thursday 25th June at 12pm.

Round One of the Carabao Cup will kick off the new campaign, before the Championship, League One and League Two begin the following weekend.

Key dates for the 2026/27 season include:

Carabao Cup - Round One: 7th–9th August 2026
Sky Bet EFL - Opening weekend: 14th–16th August 2026
Vertu Trophy - Round One: Week commencing 21st September 2026

All fixtures will be published on EFL channels, with Derby County’s full fixtures available on EFL.com and dcfc.co.uk.

The Carabao Cup and Vertu Trophy draws are to take place on fixture release day, with full details to be confirmed.

Broadcast Selections – 2026/27

The opening weekend of EFL fixtures across the Championship, League One and League Two will be live on Sky Sports and Sky Sports+ and confirmed on EFL fixture release day.

By 2nd July 2026, selections will be announced in respect of all live broadcast matches to be played before the end of September 2026.

By 31st July 2026, selections will be confirmed in respect of all live broadcast matches to be played up to, and including, the weekend of 8th-11th January 2027.

By 6th November 2026, selections shall be announced in respect of all matches to be played up to, and including, the midweek of 2nd-3rd March 2027.

This once again provides fans and clubs with up to five months’ notice. By selecting TV picks early and giving much more notice, fans will be able to plan with certainty when making travel and hotel arrangements.

Selections for matches scheduled for the weekend of 5th-8th March 2027 will be announced by 5th February 2027, followed by weekly announcements looking four weeks ahead. (For example, the weekend of 12th-15th March 2027 will be announced by Friday 12th February 2027).
