Derby County completed the loan signing of Arsenal striker Tyreece John-Jules in August 2023.
He joined the Rams on a loan deal from the Premier League outfit which will run for the first half of the 2023/24 season until January 2024.
John-Jules, who was part of the Ipswich Town squad that gained promotion from Sky Bet League One last season, offers another option for Head Coach Paul Warne to call upon in the final third.
John-Jules has been associated with Arsenal since the age of eight and he signed his first professional contract in 2018.
Although he hasn’t made his senior debut for the Gunners he has regularly trained with their first team squad on a regular basis and he was on the bench for their penalty shoot-out Community Shield victory over Liverpool in 2020.
He scored three goals in five appearances for Arsenal’s Under-21 side in the EFL Trophy during the 2018/19 and 2019/20 seasons before heading out on loan to gain senior experience.
John-Jules joined Lincoln City in League One on loan for the second half of the 2019/20 season and scored once in seven appearances prior to the COVID-19 pandemic curtailing the season. His first senior goal came in a 1-0 home win over Blackpool in just his second appearance for the Imps.
Another loan spell in League One followed in the 2020/21 season with Doncaster Rovers and in total he scored five times in 21 appearances. His first goal for Doncaster, in a 3-1 win at Charlton Athletic, was named as the League One Goal of the Month for August 2020.
John-Jules stepped up to the Championship in 2021/22 with Blackpool and made 12 appearances in total for the Seasiders before spending the second half of the campaign back in League One after joining Sheffield Wednesday on loan which yielded just one appearance off the bench after he sustained an injury.
He was back in League One for the 2022/23 season after joining Ipswich Town on loan for the entire campaign. He scored three times in 21 appearances for the Tractor Boys, including a start in their 1-0 win over Derby in October 2022.
John-Jules has played 62 times in senior football in total and scored on nine occasions.
On the international stage, John-Jules has represented England at every youth level between Under-16s and Under-21s.
