Rams reveal new back of shirt and shorts sponsor for 2015/16 season.

Derby County Football Club is pleased to announce that one of the UK’s leading railway contracting organisations, QTS, has agreed a deal to become the back of shirt and shorts sponsor for the 2015/16 season.

The one-year sponsorship deal will see the QTS company logo appear on the back of the first-team's shirts and shorts for the 2015/16 campaign and is an improvement on their already significant six-figure investment in the football club.

QTS, with southern headquarters in Nottingham and their national HQ in Scotland, currently has a major association north of the border with Scottish Premiership side Kilmarnock FC, featuring as their main club sponsor.

In October 2014, QTS teamed up with Derby as a preferred partner and at the time they stated their desire to build a long-standing relationship with the club. This deal further extends the company’s relationship with the club and the QTS name will again be prominent at the iPro Stadium for the upcoming season.

Derby County’s President & Chief Executive Sam Rush said: “We are delighted that QTS Group have decided to extend their partnership with Derby County to become the back of shirt and shorts sponsor.

“When we announced the preferred partnership arrangement with QTS last season I said that we were looking forward to building and developing our relationship with them, so it’s pleasing that they have committed to this new partnership.”

Alan McLeish, Managing Director of QTS, has revealed that he is happy to extend the company’s support for Derby County at a time when the club has much to look forward to, as they chase promotion to the Premier League under new Head Coach Paul Clement.

“Having started our partnership with Derby County Football Club last year, it was a no brainer for us when the opportunity arose to further cement our relationship as back of shirt and short sponsor,” he said.

“I am sure that this season is going to be a big one for the team. I’m sure they will start the season with high expectations and looking to secure promotion to the Premier League. We are delighted to continue our support to everyone involved and look forward to what the future holds for the team.”

Established in 1992 by Alan McLeish, QTS has become a national multi-disciplined organisation with an extensive skill base offering a range of services including railway operations, environmental services, civil engineering, training, vegetation management and drainage.

Alan established the business with a £300 loan from his mother, which he used to buy two chainsaws and a transit van. The business now has numerous offices throughout the UK, employing over 800 sponsored personnel and boasts a turnover of £72 million.

QTS is one of the UK’s leading contractors specialising in rail infrastructure, engineering and training. Clients include Network Rail, BT, Scottish Power Networks, The Forestry Commission, Scottish Water, Scottish Water Ways, First ScotRail, National Grid, United Utilities and a range of local authorities.
