Derby County is delighted to announce that Avon Tyres will be the club’s official shirt sponsor for the 2017/18 season.

The Avon Tyres company logo will proudly take pride of place on the front of all of Derby’s first-team kits for the forthcoming campaign.

As a trusted and well-respected British brand Avon has not only proved itself on the road but also on the racetracks of the world, on two wheels as well as four, and has been making high performance tyres for over 100 years.

Their century of tyre-making experience is combined with the very latest design and advanced technology, manufacturing tyres with unparalleled quality and performance.

Avon Tyres has enjoyed a close working relationship with Derby in the last two seasons and they were the official secondary shirt sponsor during the 2016/17 season, with their company logo appearing on the back of the Rams’ shirts and shorts.

In addition to becoming Derby’s new official shirt sponsor, they will also be running events and competitions for supporters throughout the season – in addition to advertising their brand across Pride Park Stadium.

Derby County’s Director of Partnerships Ashley Peden said: “We’re delighted that Avon Tyres are our new main shirt sponsor for this season.

"Everyone will be aware that they were the back of shirt and shorts sponsor last season, so we’re thrilled that they are making the step up for the current campaign.

“Given the reach and stature of our club, we feel that we can offer brands a great deal of exposure through multiple media platforms, nationally and internationally, which was a key objective for Avon Tyres when agreeing this partnership.

“Both Derby County and Avon Tyres are well-established and long-serving brands in this country, sharing a great deal of synergy, and we’re looking forward to delivering a positive partnership moving forward.”

Luis Ceneviz, Avon Tyres’ Managing Director – Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA), added: “We believe that this is a fantastic platform for us to promote our brand in the number one sport in the country. The two organisations have a great deal of heritage in the UK and we believe that it fits very well.

“Having the Avon Tyres brand on the front of Derby County’s shirts provides a great deal of potential for us, showcasing ourselves to potential customers.

“The kind of projection that Derby County can provide for us, with fantastic supporters and television exposure, is fundamental for our brand.”

He added: “We were the back of shirt and shorts sponsors last season, so this is an upgrade you could say for us and we’ve really enjoyed working with the club.

“We are looking forward to the future and Derby County pushing for a place in the Premier League.”

Avon Tyres replaces Just Eat as the club’s official shirt sponsor, after their three-year contract with club came to an end.

Derby County Football Club would like to express their thanks to Just Eat for their support over the past three seasons, in what was an extremely successful partnership for both parties.
