Derby County’s first-team squad have arrived at their training base in Tenerife.

Gary Rowett’s side flew out of East Midlands this afternoon and touched down in the Canary Islands in the early evening.
The Rams will be based in the south of Tenerife for all of this week as part of their preparations for the 2017/18 Sky Bet Championship season, before returning home next Saturday.
Following a four-hour flight, the players took part in a light training session in the early-evening sunshine to get their legs moving once again.
The session included a jog around the running track surrounding the training pitch that the Rams will be working on this week, as well as some stretching exercises.

The squad will take part in a double session on Monday to kick off their first full week of pre-season training, after reporting back for duty towards the end of last week.
