Rams Complete Another Double Session In Tenerife

Derby County’s players completed another double session on Tuesday at their training camp in Tenerife.

After arriving at their training base in the south of the island on Sunday evening, Monday saw the players complete a double session in the heat.

It was more of the same on day two as well, with the players put through their paces once more as the midway point of the week closes in.

The early morning session saw the defensive and midfield players work in individual groups together at first, while the Rams’ forwards took part in a shooting exercise on a separate pitch.

A number of small-sided matches took place afterwards involving the whole squad based on possession, which was then followed by a two-touch game on a reduced size pitch.

After some time to recover after lunch, the squad were back out on the grass in the early evening.

This time, though, there were no footballs to be seen as the squad completed a series of running challenging exercises before rounding off the day with a visit to the on-site gym.

Wednesday will see the workload continue, with another early start on the agenda…
