Derby County’s squad has been confirmed for today’s pre-season friendly fixture at National League outfit Macclesfield Town (3pm kick-off).

Manager Gary Rowett will take a strong squad to Moss Rose as he once again looks to spread the match minutes across the group.

He fielded two separate sides, playing 45 minutes each, in the 4-0 victory at Kidderminster Harriers on Tuesday evening to ensure as many players as possible were able to get match time under their belts.

Midfielder George Thorne, centre-back Jason Shackell and left-back Max Lowe were not involved at Kidderminster and won't feature today, but the versatile Ikechi Anya is back from an illness and is in the squad.

Skipper Richard Keogh and striker Matej Vydra picked up knocks in training towards the end of the week and will not be risked against the Silkmen.

Youngsters Calum Macdonald, Timi Max Elsnik, Kellan Gordon, Offrande Zanzala and Farrend Rawson, who all featured for the Under-23s yesterday in their 3-2 friendly win over Sheffield Wednesday at the Training Centre, will travel with the squad.

Squad for Macclesfield Town friendly: Scott Carson, Jonathan Mitchell, Kelle Roos, Chris Baird, Andre Wisdom, Alex Pearce, Craig Forsyth, Curtis Davies, Marcus Olsson, Jacob Butterfield, Craig Bryson, Bradley Johnson, Jamie Hanson, Ikechi Anya, Nick Blackman, Mason Bennett, Andreas Weimann, Darren Bent, Chris Martin, David Nugent, Johnny Russell, Calum Macdonald, Timi Max Elsnik, Kellan Gordon, Offrande Zanzala, Farrend Rawson.

Supporters will be able to watch the entire game live and for free on RamsTV this afternoon via a live stream.
