Derby County is giving all 7-11 year olds in Derbyshire the chance to experience a first-team match for FREE!

The Rams are committing to attracting the next generation of supporters to watch the side in action and are once again running the successful ‘Future Fans’ initiative for the 2017/18 campaign.

Derby, as part of the new initiative, will give away thousands of free tickets to schools for selected games this season.

Children aged 7-11 are being offered two free tickets for themselves and an adult to attend a Sky Bet Championship game at Pride Park Stadium.

Youngsters are able to choose from the following games:

* Vs Bristol City, Friday 19th January 2018 (7:45pm kick-off)

* Vs Fulham, Saturday 3rd March 2018 (3pm kick-off)

* Vs Bolton Wanderers, Saturday 7th April 2018 (3pm kick-off)

In order to receive the two free tickets, schools will need to register their interest by emailing [email protected]with their address contact name, as well as how many 7-11 year olds attend the school in order to receive more information on the tickets.

The school will then be sent leaflets to be handed out to the children which will contain more information on how they can register to attend a game.

Parents and guardians of 7-11 year olds at registered schools will be able to apply for their free tickets online.

Once the child has registered online they will then be sent a letter, from the club mascot Rammie, containing all of the details of how they can redeem their free ticket and a photo of their favourite Derby County player.

Children who have previously registered for the Future Fans initiative or have previously attended a Derby County home game are not eligible to claim free tickets.

The decision to target 7-11 year olds follows research by the club and the free ticket offer is also aimed at children who have never been to a football match. This is because a study carried out by The Sir Norman Chester Football Research Centre at De Montford University found that 25% of people support the team they first saw play live.

Schools can register their interest by e-mailing [email protected].
