Derby County proud partner Cosmo Derby last week celebrated winning a national award.

Cosmo on London Road won the Best Oriental Restaurant overall and in the East Midlands at the Food Awards on Monday 9th October, beating off other restaurants around the country in the process.

Head chef Wee Kean Goh picked up the award on behalf of his staff at the Food Awards ceremony.

“These awards mean a great deal to us because they are voted for by members of the public,” he said.

“The entire Derby team works hard to ensure the restaurant consistently serves up incredible food and delivers outstanding service, so this award is testament to their hard work and dedication.

“Cosmo belongs to a group of restaurants with 20 branches across the country, so it makes me very proud to say that the Derby branch serves up the very best cuisine in a group which prides itself on high standards of food and service.”

Cosmo is a critically acclaimed restaurant group that rivals high end buffet restaurants more commonly found in 5 star hotels, which are popular in the Far East.

It opened its first restaurant in 2003. Since then, the Group has enjoyed continuous growth and expansion. With 16 locations and many more planned in the future, the COSMO Group serves thousands of customers every day, making it one of the UK’s largest restaurant groups (by volume).

Cosmo Derby seats 350 diners and can serve as many as 1,000 people on a busy Saturday evening.

As part of their relationship with Derby County, Season Ticket Holders are entitled to a 10 per cent discount at Cosmo Derby when they display their Season Ticket Card.
