Joe Ledley has linked up with the Wales squad to have his minor injury assessed ahead of their upcoming matches against France and Panama during the international break.

The 30-year-old midfielder suffered a hamstring strain in the 2-1 win at Leeds United just under a week ago and this has been confirmed as a low-grade injury.

It has also been confirmed that Keogh, the 30-year-old Rams captain, sustained a low-grade quad strain in the warm-up to Saturday’s Sky Bet Championship clash with Reading and despite initially starting the match, he was forced to be withdrawn after just six minutes.

After initially linking up with the Republic of Ireland squad, the defender has since been ruled out of action and will now return to Derby.

Ireland face Denmark over a crunch two-legged play-off with the winner claiming a place in the FIFA 2018 World Cup Finals in Russia.

Matej Vydra will also not be linking up with Czech Republic due to an injury to his left tibia.

The 25-year-old’s problem had been managed conservatively over the past week, but a kick in the possession-based warm-up ahead of Saturday’s game against Reading exasperated the injury – meaning he was not risked from the substitutes bench and will not be linking up with Czech Republic.
