Alex Babos has been called up to the Wales Under-21 squad for the first time ahead of their two upcoming UEFA qualifying matches later this month.

The news comes after the Derby County Under-23s midfielder was also nominated for the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award for October.

Babos will now join up with the Red Dragons on Monday 6th November ahead of their UEFA Under 21 Group 8 Qualifying International matches against Bosnia (Friday 10th November) and Romania (Tuesday 14th November).

The call-up does mean that the 19-year-old will not feature against Nottingham Forest in the Premier League Cup at Pride Park Stadium on Monday.
