Following the conclusion of his half-season loan with Accrington Stanley, Farrend Rawson has completed a switch to Forest Green Rovers on a free transfer.

The 21-year-old, who has progressed right through the Rams’ Academy, makes his move to the New Lawn – the first permanent move of his career – after making 14 appearances for Accrington over the first half of the campaign.

A no-nonsense defender, Rawson has also enjoyed loan spells at Rotherham United and Coventry City and was on the cusp of the first team picture at Pride Park Stadium after captaining a number of the club’s younger age groups.

Derby County would like to thank Farrend for all of his efforts during his time with the club and wish him only the best ahead of his move to Forest Green Rovers and for the rest of his career.
