Look Out For Our Exclusive Chat With Rowett About His First Year In Charge

Wednesday 14th March marked as Gary Rowett’s first full year in charge of Derby County.

A lot has unfolded over the last 12 months and RamsTV recently sat down with the man himself to analyse his time in charge.

Over a 30-minute chat with Owen Bradley, the 44-year-old has looked extensively back at his highlights and the key moments of his time in the helm.

“The time in the job wasn’t something I particularly focused on,” Rowett said in response to the first question he faced about being in the position for a full year.

“Instead, when we first came in here, it was about could we get this club on the pathway that we want to get on as quickly as we can.

“We had the games at the end of last season, which I think helped, but then you still have a difficult summer of recruiting and trying to make the team a bit more how we wanted it to look and play.

“Up to now, the year has flown by and it has been thoroughly enjoyable for both myself and the staff. We’ve had a great time so far.”
