Matej Vydra was named as the Derby County Supporters' Club Player of the Year for the 2017/18 season on Monday evening.


The 25-year-old forward picked up the award in the Pedigree Suite at Pride Park Stadium, as part of the Supporters’ Club's Annual End of Season Dinner.

Derby’s entire first-team squad, along with management staff, were in attendance and helped hand out a series of Supporters' Club awards for the campaign.

Executive Chairman Mel Morris, CBE, and the Rams’ executive team also attended the event.

Each branch of the Supporters' Club cast their vote on who they regarded as Derby's star man this season, with Vydra, the Sky Bet Championship’s leading scorer, running out as the winner.

The Czech Republic international, has made 38 appearances in all competitions for Derby this season, scoring 20 goals in the process.
