Curtis Davies has been nominated for the PFA Championship Player of the Month award after his superb form helped Derby County to secure three crucial victories throughout April.

The Rams kicked off the month with wins against Preston North End and Bolton Wanderers, with Davies contributing heavily to successive clean sheets as Gary Rowett’s side returned to winning ways after eight games without success.

Davies also captained Derby for the first time during the 1-0 victory at Deepdale, a result that has proved to be crucial as Rowett saw his team confirmed in the play-offs on Sunday – at the expense of seventh-place Preston.

The centre-back was colossal as the month came to a close with four vital points secured from games against Cardiff City and Aston Villa.

He is up against Adama Traore (Middlesbrough), Aleksandar Mitrovic (Fulham), Matt Smith (Queens Park Rangers), Harry Wilson (Hull City) and Sean Morrison (Cardiff), and it’s down to you to make sure that Davies ends up with the award!
