Tom Lawrence and Joe Ledley both started for Wales as Ryan Giggs’ side played out a goalless draw with Mexico in the United States on Monday night.

82,345 packed into the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California to see the Dragons take on Juan Carlos Osorio’s team, who are preparing for the FIFA World Cup in Russia.

Mexico controlled the game for long periods and they dominated their opponents in terms of possession and shots, but Wales held on bravely to secure a draw in Giggs’ third game in charge.

Ledley played 45 minutes to earn his 77th international cap, whilst Lawrence came off after 81 minutes of his 13th appearance for his country.

Wales next action is scheduled for September, when they will face the Republic of Ireland and Denmark in the UEFA Nations League.
