Derby County Football Club has been informed by Brentford Football Club that one of their Season Ticket Holders was arrested following today’s Sky Bet Championship game at Griffin Park.

The individual in question has been accused of committing a racially-aggravated public order offence towards a member of Derby County’s playing squad, who will receive the club’s full support after being subjected to such abhorrent behaviour.

The individual was identified at the time, removed from the ground and subsequently arrested.

Derby County will remain in dialogue with Brentford as they continue to liaise with the Metropolitan Police, who will now investigate the incident.

Derby County would like to place on record its thanks to the staff at Brentford and the Metropolitan Police for their speedy assistance in relation to the incident.
